Thanksgiving has passed and we have all come out of our turkey comas. I’m still eating Turkey sandwiches on a daily basis. Man! I love ‘em! Some mayo, lots of black pepper and a mound of turkey on two slices of white bread. I hear people put cranberry sauce on their sandwiches, haven’t tried it, probably won’t; to each his own.
I’m hearing Christmas songs on the radio, seeing wreaths, bells, Santa in all shapes and sizes, and countless other decorations around town. People are putting lights on their houses. Some very simple. Some so elegant the White House and Disneyland would have trouble competing. Others so ostentatious I feel like I’ve driven past the Griswolds. Those homes make me want to visit the neighbors, knock on their door and give them a huge hug and tell them how sorry I am that they have to endure the hardship and tribulation that must come from living next to some of these monstrosities. But on the bright side (pun intended), at least they can get a tan in December at no cost to themselves. The holidays are in full swing!
Soon we will get together with the whole family again. This may be a great thing for some, and maybe a dreaded thing for others. We weren’t able to choose our family at birth, and we must live with them and work through the conflicts that always arise within family. I love my family! And sadly I will not be spending Christmas with my immediate family, but rather with my wife’s family in Australia. It should make for a fun, hot, BBQ filled Christmas! I can’t wait!
Even though we cannot choose our family, we can choose those we do business with. To everyone who has decided to work with us, I say, THANK YOU! You are part of our family here at CVES. And like any family we will work through the problems that arise and find a solution so that both parties can walk away satisfied. You keep us afloat. Thank you! I will be leaving the country in a couple weeks and with trying to get all our current projects completed before that time. I may not have time to write again before the New Year. I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
